Strategic rebrand for a nearshore tech startup

Project overview

In spring 2024, I was asked by Nemesis Studio to consult on a tech startup rebrand project for one of their most recent clients, Latech (now Stravos), a Tunisian B2B tech company that needed to reposition itself from a nearshore provider to a technology partner of choice in the European market, specializing in Web3, Blockchain, and NFT solutions.

I came on board during the end of the strategy design phase, with the goal of bridging strategy and brand identity execution. I worked with the Nemesis design team to redesign the entire brand identity, across its main elements.

After the visual identity design was set up, I took on the redesign of the client’s website, the core reputational touchpoint for the new brand.

The approach to a tech startup rebranding.

Latech, building digital landscapes

To illustrate Latech’s ability to blend the latest technologies with intuition, we designed the identity around a hybrid concept: building digital landscapes. This metaphor allowed us to position Latech among other B2B tech startups, without any compromise, while also giving it a distinctive conceptual angle. The idea also enabled the creation of modular layouts and flexible visual structures — where negative space plays a central role in organizing content, guiding users visually and emphasizing key messaging.

Designing the Latech logo

Bringing a spark of magic to tech

Latech’s logo design is built around the imaginery typical of software development and innovative technology branding.

The challenge was to shape it so that it clearly belonged to the tech field imaginary, but at the same time stand out from competition. This high-level goal was achieved by using an elegant and subtle bespoke geometric sans wordmark as a base, adding a spark of magic made of the combination of two symbols. The plus symbolizes team extension through outsourcing; the spark represents creative intelligence and technological excellence — the very heart of Latech’s offering.

Latech color space.

A spectrum of digital.

The concept for Latech’s color palette revolves around the idea of creating contrast and playful solutions achieved by using dark themed backgrounds with the spark of vivid and highly saturated colors. These combinations are perfect for creating accents and rythm to all types of visual and graphic compositions.

Latech colors live in a spectrum, moving fluidly between tints and shades. The entirety of this system provides creative flexibility, allowing Latech to adapt color schemes based on context, medium, or messaging — perfect for a growing tech startup working across multiple digital environments.

Brand Guidelines & Visual Applications.

Delivering brand consistency at every touchpoint.

Once the core identity was defined, our goal was to transform it into a versatile and expressive visual system. We crafted detailed guidelines that translate the brand’s strategic foundations into visual principles, enabling consistent yet dynamic use.

From layout frameworks to color rules and digital components, each element was shaped to inspire confidence, creativity, and recognition across all branded content.

The website

Designing a digital-first brand touchpoint

Designing the website was a pivotal step to seal and elevate the rebranding.

Inspired by the visual language of cutting-edge tech products, the website embraces a clean, immersive one-page layout where each section flows seamlessly into the next. To capture the evocative power of the digital landscape concept, I introduced animated gradients, light-based visual effects, and minimal interactive elements that feel intuitive yet immersive.

The result is a high-impact digital touchpoint, where brand storytelling, design, and usability converge to express the company’s new positioning and ambition.
